Alternate Track 5/9 General Radiologist

Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our practice includes 190 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and 180 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. ARS provides radiology services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan including MyMichigan Health. This nonprofit health system is headquartered in Midland with 8 medical centers providing care to a 25 county region. MyMichigan provides a full continuum of care across a wide array of settings, including urgent care centers, home health, virtual care, and medical offices in more than 30 specialties and subspecialties including cardiology, family medicine, hematology/oncology, neurosciences, orthopedics, pediatrics, vascular surgery, and more.

We are currently accepting applicants for an alternate track 5/9 general radiologist to cover 2 MyMichigan locations. This schedule will allow you to maximize your time off with a schedule of 5 days providing on site daytime coverage followed by 9 days off. Alpena is a 139-bed hospital on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron and Alma is a 107-bed teaching hospital serving central Michigan since 1955. Both sites are affiliated with the University of Michigan. This is a partnership track position with no evening or weekend responsibilities, full compensation and benefits and travel expenses included. You may live where you desire but proximity to Alpena and Alma and willingness to travel will be important.

Responsibilities in Alpena: You will perform interventional procedures such as IR drain placements, lumbar punctures, FL arthrograms, GI FL, paras, thoras, CT and US guided biopsies. There is one full time APP on site.

Responsibilities in Alma: The main focus will be breast imaging with screening/diagnostics, US and stereotactic biopsies, and pre-surgical lesion localizations. There is an APP there 3 days per week.

In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents and pursue research if desired. We offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for increased compensation by picking up additional shifts on a month to month basis. American Board of Radiology or AOBR certified or Board-Eligible

Breast or IR fellowship training preferred but will consider significant practice experience

Must be comfortable working autonomously in more rural sites
