MIG Welder NO OVERTIME 1st shift M-F

Welder and FabricatorThis role is for an experienced aluminum MIG welder and fabricator who works primarily on aircraft ground support equipment and large fabricated structures. You will perform production welding on thicker aluminum materials, interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols, and independently set up and operate welding equipment in a fast-paced environment. TIG welding experience is preferred and will be used for fitting and fabrication tasks as needed.ResponsibilitiesRead and understand blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to ensure jobs are completed correctly.Set up aluminum MIG welding equipment and adjust settings based on the project requirements.Perform 3G vertical aluminum MIG welding on platforms, frames, and structural components.Weld in various positions, including flat and vertical, while maintaining high-quality workmanship.Fit, align, and secure large assemblies using clamps, fixtures, and jigs before welding.Grind and finish welds to meet both quality and appearance standards.Inspect completed welds for defects and make repairs as needed.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while meeting production schedules.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of hands-on aluminum MIG welding experience in a real-world production or fabrication environment.Proficiency in aluminum MIG welding with 5053 wire, including 3G (vertical) welding on thicker aluminum materials.Ability to weld confidently in flat, vertical, and occasional overhead positions.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.Experience setting up MIG welding machines, including gas selection, wire setup, and heat settings for aluminum.Experience welding thicker aluminum materials beyond light-gauge production work.Skill in grinding, blending, and finishing aluminum welds to meet quality standards.Ability to work independently in a production environment while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.Why Work Here?You join a production environment where your technical expertise and craftsmanship are highly valued, and you have the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale aluminum structures with tangible real-world applications. You work on a first-shift schedule Monday through Friday, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with additional Saturday work as needed, and may support a 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift when required. The environment involves working around welding equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools, handling larger assemblies with jigs, clamps, and fixtures, and wearing appropriate protective gear and work attire suitable for a welding and fabrication shop.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apopka, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $32.00/hr.
