Pool Lifeguards - Part time/Seasonal Position

Part-time/Seasonal

This work involves monitoring the activities around a city swimming pool to ensure that patrons behave in a safe manner.

Education and Experience:

(Ability to monitor a large number of swimmers and others near the pool and detect unruly or dangerous behavior or improper attire

Monitors swimmers in the water and those near the water to enforce the rules of the pool and to ensure the safety of patrons.

Provides assistance to swimmers as needed, removing them from the pool and administering first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Enforces the pool's dress code.

Assists in cleaning the pool and grounds.

Oversees Swim Lesson instructors at their designated pool.

Trains the Swim Lesson instructors at their designated pool.

Receives training on coaching swim team (no prior experience necessary).

Provides coaching for a variety of age and skill groups.

Must be a minimum of 15 years old.

Must possess lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications.

Must be able to work varied days and hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
