Head of Project Management

IT Project ManagerThis position is responsible for evaluating, planning and executing IT-related projects. The position requires an individual with a deep understanding of managing complex projects within the infrastructure realm. The ideal candidate should have executed projects where applications have been migrated to one/all databases as indicated below.SAP HANASQL Database on AWSVendor Cloud (e.g. Redwood BPA)The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this position; however, this is not an all-inclusive listing. Other duties may be assigned.Manage the entire project lifecycle from project initiation through closureBe accountable for on-time and on-budget project execution in IT, serve as the first point of contact/liaise between project stakeholders and project team to ensure project successCreate, execute, monitor and revise project plan to meet changing project requirements and resources; plan, prepare for and facilitate all project status meetings; manage resolution of project issues including proper escalation to project stakeholders.Identify project resource requirements and timelines and negotiate with IT service owners on resource availability and allocation; lead team members to complete assigned tasks within specified timelines and ensure all team members feel engaged, productive and effectiveFacilitate project procurement (products and services required by third parties) and consult IT resources as needed; manage project time and cost expectations with project stakeholdersCollaborate with Project Owner and stakeholders to assess project risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in placeManage project budgetProvide direction and support to project teamMonitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholdersFacilitate issue identification and resolutionDocument project change requests, assess change impactConduct project Lessons Learned meetings and use results to continuously improve project and IT processes; promote project management process and the institutionalization of project management standards and best practices through mentoring and lead-by-exampleEnsure successful transition of applications or infrastructure changes to Customer and Production Support teamsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor’s degree in management Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or Business, or equivalent work experience6 – 8 years experience in an Information Technology project management and/or lead systems analysis functionEnterprise Systems implementation and cutover experience is preferredDemonstrated understanding of all aspects of a full life cycle project implementation and supportExcellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organizationKnowledge of SAP functionality and configuration a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goalsProven ability to understand complex business processes and suggest possible solutionsExperience leading and managing project team members and deliverablesPMP certification is a requirementAgile Framework methodology a plusExperience in wholesale distribution a plusHigh degree of proficiency with the Google Suite and Smartsheet is a mustDemonstrated ability to analyze and provide effective problem solvingWillingness and ability to travel as requiredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
