Job Description Experienced Carpenter – Lead Carpenter Opportunity

Bencar Building Systems is looking for an experienced residential carpenter to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential remodeling and design-build projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, additions, master suites, and whole-home renovations.
This is a hands-on carpentry position. The successful candidate will be expected to perform all phases of residential remodeling work, including demolition, framing, drywall, trim, cabinetry, doors and windows, and finish work. We're looking for a carpenter who is confident in their abilities, takes pride in their work, and wants to become a key member of our field team . This position is ideal for someone who is capable of working independently today and wants to take on greater responsibility over time.

For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to grow into a Lead Carpenter role , taking ownership of projects, coordinating with subcontractors, communicating with homeowners, and helping direct other members of the crew.

~ Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential remodeling projects
Framing and structural carpentry
Door and window installation
Trim and finish carpentry
Cabinet installation and hanging
Drywall installation and repair
Read plans and follow project specifications
Work independently and solve problems in the field
Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and the Bencar team
Help train and support less-experienced carpenters
Experience with sheetrock taping, painting, and other finish trades is a strong plus.
Lead Carpenter Opportunity
The right carpenter will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of projects, including coordinating day-to-day work, communicating with the office and homeowners, working with subcontractors, managing materials, and helping lead the crew.
You don't need to be a Lead Carpenter on day one. Several years of residential carpentry experience
Strong knowledge of residential construction and remodeling
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
