Research Registered NurseThe Research Registered Nurse is responsible to the Principal Investigator and/or the Associate Chief of Staff/Research and Development (ACOS/R&D). Responsibilities of the Research Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to the following:Assessing individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion in research protocolsResponsible for understanding the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of researchAssessing and acting independently within scope in response to research related issuesCommunicating effectively with patients, their significant others, nursing staff, & other healthcare team membersScreening patients for inclusion in studiesProviding information relevant to studiesObtaining informed consentAssist in directing the provision of research education and regulatory compliance assessmentEngage in quality improvement for study recruitment protocolsVA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total RewardsPay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.Compressed/Flexible: Compressed schedule may be considered after training requirements have been metTelework: Not AvailableVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
