Position Summary

Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of CORALVITA Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works in a charge nurse capacity as assigned based on patient and hospital need. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Position Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises the following positions: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides and Techs.

Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasaRegisteredNurseinthestateofemploymentrequired.

CurrentBLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequired.

CurrentACLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequiredwithinsix(6)monthsofhire.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Previousacutecareexperienceisstronglypreferred. Ability to project a professional image.

Knowledgeofregulatorystandardsandcompliancerequirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

Abilitytomakeindependentdecisionswhencircumstanceswarrant.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasaRegisteredNurseinthestateofemploymentrequired. Current BLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required. ACLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
