Emergency Room Tech Paramedic

The Emergency Department Tech I has C.The Emergency Department Technician reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician II performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

Work Shift

May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases and the risk of blood borne diseases. Must be able to handle emergency or crisis situations. Financial Responsibilities:

Monitors telemetry patients.

Crutch training

Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, patients, families, other employees, and medical staff. No or limited mathematical skills required. Must possess the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables and standardized situations.

High School Diploma.Phlebotomy certification for ED tech II. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Some experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.

Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors.

Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations.

Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility.

Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
