Host/Hostess Job Description

Our mission is to provide an innovative and entertaining dining experience which will compel our guests to become raving fans and create brand loyalty. The Host/Hostess welcomes and entertains guests in a warm, friendly manner to provide a positive first impression of service. They are responsible to manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests, answering the phones, call ahead seating, reservations, guest inquiries, and Curbside To-Go orders.

Knowledge of basic restaurant hospitality and fully engaged, service minded attitude

Food Safety certification, as state law requires

Good hearing for safety and accurate communication (with or without accommodation)

Must be able to read, write and speak in English

Basic computer usage skills

Must possess valid food safety certification or any other food/alcohol certification if required by state law

Compliance with our dress and appearance policy including black slip resistant shoes

Complete training and pass all tests with a 90% or better.

Clock in and report to the Manager on duty on time and in full uniform for each shift.

Perform host stand set-up, opening duties, running side work and closing duties. (Answer the phone promptly with a smile.

Manage quotes and waiting periods based on Company standards using a guest management system.

Maintain cleanliness of the host area and guest waiting areas.

Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation.

Assist in table maintenance and bussing for prompt seating.

Is aware of and abides by all liquor service laws.

Alert Manager immediately if intoxicated Guest enters the restaurant.

Always friendly and courteous on the telephone and in person.

Take to-go orders for guests and process payment.
