Job Description The Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

PRN Status Clause: This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.

Additional Job Description Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of

one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required. Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification, and Crisis Prevention training.
