Job Schedule: 5/8 Work Schedule - (Monday thru Friday)
L3Harris is seeking A Machinist who performs a wide range of hands-on tasks within a fabrication shop, supporting production across multiple work areas and processes. This role requires versatility, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The technician may be responsible for fabricating, assembling, modifying, finishing, and inspecting parts or assemblies using a variety of tools, equipment, and shop methods.
Perform fabrication work across multiple shop areas, including cutting, drilling, grinding, forming, fitting, assembly, and finishing.
Measure precision parts using calibrated instruments.
Fabricate new parts or repair existing ones as needed in manufacturing processes
Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with machine operation and secondary processes as needed.
Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for downstream production or final delivery.
Identify and report quality issues, material defects, equipment concerns, or process problems.
Support workflow as needed in different departments based on production priorities.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience working in a fabrication, manufacturing, machine shop, or production environment.
Experience in use of common shop tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
Experience in understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and shop processes.
Ability to move and transport materials and parts within required shop limits.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
