Work Schedule and Shift Requirements
Phlebotomist
PRN I First Shift
Baptist Health Clinical Lab and Pathology Department, where science meets compassion and precision meets care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by the laboratory
Identifies problems with specimens, test orders, registration and takes appropriate action
Accessions specimens into the Laboratory Information System, accurately recording pertinent data to be used by the physician in the interpretation of tests results
Collects blood samples by appropriate method on premature babies to geriatric patients utilizing prescribed safety and infection control procedures to protect the patient and the phlebotomist
Investigates, documents and follows up on customers concerns, inquiries and provides prompt, polite customer service
High School Diploma or equivalent.
