HISTOTECHNOLOGIST (HOURLY/TEMPORARY)

Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join our team at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA.

**Pay Range: $30.87 - $37.45 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Work Schedule: Per diem, as needed

Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed

Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner

Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies

Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting

Document problems that may affect test performance and perform corrective actions as needed

Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in Histology or a High School diploma or equivalent with 1 or more years of histology experience

Preferred Qualifications 3 months or more of histology experience

Histology and/or ASCP certifications

Additional Job Standards In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements

Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

Experience working in a high volume laboratory environmentAbility to work independently and within a team environment

Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems

Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
