Mental Health Counselor (Full-time & Part-time)

Provides mental health screening assessments and makes appropriate interventions and referrals, in consultation with Supervisor and the on-site or on-call psychiatrist. Provides a full range of mental health treatment services 24/7, including: Mobile Outreach/Screening, responding to hotline calls, assessments, crisis counseling, case management and participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, record keeping, consultation and education. Provides care to patients ranging in age from child through geriatric. Valid driver’s license required, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program. Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counseling individual, group or family members, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
