PennAero is hiring a Mechanical Engineer at our Allfast FasteningSystems location in City of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is aleading global manufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts,temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry.As a key supplier to majoraerospace manufacturers, Allfast's products support the commercial, military,and general aviation platforms in production and in service.

Experience guides our growth-strengthening capabilities andexpanding our global platform as markets evolve. Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals todevelop design for products. Directs and coordinates manufacturingprocesses in the industrial plant required for the development of new productsand/or execution of continuous improvement.
Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such asobjective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized fromfindings, cost of project, and equipment required.
Develops and implements methods for monitoring projects, such as preparation ofrecords of expenditures, research findings, and progress reports to informmanagement of status of each project.
Identifies, in conjunction with sales and engineering management, promisingareas of fastener products that address unmet needs and have potential marketshare available.
Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design forproducts.
Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determinefeasibility of product proposal.
Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares designmodifications as required.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling toensure efficient production methods.
Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product orsystem.
Analyzes test data, reports to determine if design meets functional, andperformance specifications.
Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development ofsystems or other uses.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to performengineering and design tasks.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw validconclusions.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City ofIndustry, CA location.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year College or university inengineering discipline.

Six (6) years related engineering experience, includingexperience with research and development responsibility in a high-volumemanufacturing environment with methods and processing exposure. Minimum of four (4) years' experience using Solidworks
ERP experience creating Bill of Materials
Experienced at effective Root Cause Analysis
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Some travel may be required.
