We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.

May accept patron's credit application and verify credit references to provide check-cashing authorization or to establish house credit accounts. May use a cash register or computer to record transaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safeguards the cage bank assets. Adheres to all cage department policies Handles all guest exchanges of tickets for cash Cashes guest checks within established limits in compliance with check cashing policies. Exchanges foreign currency for customers at "posted" discount rates. Communicates with slot personnel concerning guest credit information. Verify soft count funds accepted into Main Bank accountability (acting in the capacity of Main Banker). REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be 21 years old and have the ability to obtain a work permit issued by the Louisiana State Police. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
