Groves Academy is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and deeply committed Lower School Teacher to join our team. Our students are bright, capable learners who may experience dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning differences. They need a skilled teacher who can understand how they learn, adapt instruction thoughtfully, and help them rediscover confidence in themselves.

As a Lower School Teacher, you will create an engaging, structured, and supportive classroom where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Planning and facilitating balanced, engaging learning experiences
Using structured literacy approaches, including Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Language Programs
Building strong relationships with students and understanding their individual learning profiles
Using evidence and student data to guide instructional decisions
Creating a classroom culture in which students feel respected, challenged, and safe taking academic risks
Collaborating with colleagues, specialists, and school leaders

Value collaboration and do not believe teaching should be an individual survival sport
Are energized by helping students who may have stopped believing they are good at school
Want to work in a community where specialized instruction is the foundation, not an afterthought
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
Teaching experience and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students
Experience teaching students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, or ADHD
Training in Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Language Programs
Special education licensure or training
Experience using data and student learning profiles to guide instruction
