Referral Coordinator - Full Time (Remote) with

Job Details Remote float location: Orlando and Poinciana, FL.

Overview of Referral Coordinator Job Functions The Referral Coordinator prepares and processes all managed care referral paperwork, schedules appointments, and pre‑registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care physician's office. Responsibilities include gathering pertinent information from physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to complete referrals; contacting various offices and facilities to obtain necessary appointments; maintaining referral records and documentation; responding to patient inquiries regarding health plan referrals; and ensuring strict confidentiality by adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Required Qualifications 1–3 years of hands‑on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.

Referral experience is mandatory.

Proficiency with medical terminology.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Excellent professional communication abilities at all levels within the organization and with patients.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (must read, write, and speak in both languages without limitations).

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.

Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT coding.

Medical Assistant or professional state certifications related to healthcare.

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM; scheduled 32 hours per week. Local travel may be required; mileage is reimbursed.

Compensation Pay range: $40,000–$52,300 per year for full‑time (40 hours per week) employment. Position eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
