Care nurse educator

As our Educator, RN in Periop, you will serve as a consultant/resource professional by providing staff development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher, ensuring educational initiatives are strategically aligned with the Perioperative department’s operational goals.

Support development of direct‑care nurses and foster nursing excellence through new knowledge and evidence‑based practice. Facilitate educational processes including assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education, and leadership development.

Serve as a role model for professional behavior and demonstrate effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to advance patient outcomes.

Evaluate educational projects based on system needs and agreed outcome criteria, communicating progress to leadership.

Collaborate with market leaders of Perioperative Services to ensure 100% implementation of perioperative safety initiatives and other identified patient safety projects.

Report status of perioperative safety initiatives to Chief nurses, Directors of Emergency Services, Patient Safety, and Clinical Risk Management leadership.

Review data and processes to evaluate compliance with perioperative safety initiatives, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.

Support market in roll‑out of perioperative safety projects and goals, reporting results and providing necessary training.

Current and active California Registered Nurse license

Bachelor of Nursing

Pay Range: $58.94 - $89.62 per hour
