Mechanical Engineering & Project Leadership

Lead HVAC and plumbing design activities from concept development through construction documentation and administration.

Perform and oversee HVAC load calculations, mechanical system selections, engineering analysis, and basis-of-design development.

Develop project work plans, schedules, and technical deliverables to support successful project execution.

Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical and plumbing construction documents using Revit.

Support construction activities through submittal reviews, RFI responses, and design clarifications.

Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and life-safety requirements.

Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.

Participate in project meetings and communicate technical solutions to clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Represent the mechanical engineering discipline in client meetings and presentations.

Partner with project managers to resolve technical challenges and maintain project quality and delivery schedules.

Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of mechanical and plumbing design deliverables.

Mentor mechanical engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and professional development support.

Help establish and maintain mechanical and plumbing design standards.

Serve as a senior technical resource for project teams.

Collaborate with mechanical engineering leadership on technical quality, design consistency, and continuous improvement.

8–15 years of mechanical engineering and design experience , preferably within an architecture/engineering or multidisciplinary design firm.

• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC and plumbing design
• Proficiency in Revit — required.
• Experience delivering building projects from initial design through construction documentation and construction administration.
• Experience with Trane TRACE or comparable HVAC load calculation software.
• Background in commercial, multifamily, civic/government, or other complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes, engineering standards, and life-safety requirements.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering projects or serving as a senior mechanical discipline lead.

Experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary building projects.

Expertise across both HVAC and plumbing disciplines.

Interest in expanding technical expertise and progressing into broader engineering leadership responsibilities.
