Furlong & Associates was founded in 1982 by Dr. Brendan Furlong, and has steadily grown from a one man operation to a practice of 23 veterinarians and over 50 support staff and technicians. The practice includes a veterinary hospital, imaging center, surgery center, and rehab center in Oldwick, NJ, an imaging center and office in Wellington, FL, and ambulatory services offered in Oldwick, NJ, Ocala and Wellington, FL, Middleburg, VA and in other seasonal locations. The practice has recently broken ground to build a new, state of the art, 50,000+ square foot facility in Oldwick. The facility will allow for the addition of the Qalibra CT machine and an upgrade to a newer nuclear scintigraphy machine; our Hallmarq MRI will move into the new facility.

New Jersey is the east coast’s best kept secret, with our headquarters located in the idyllic countryside of Hunterdon County. The area offers easy access to New York City, Philadelphia, and the Jersey Shore along with hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails and endless outdoor activities. Most staff live within a 30 minute drive of the practice and are able to commute without taking major highways. Furlong & Associates is looking to add a new doctor to our New Jersey based practice. This position is primarily an ambulatory role, though, for those interested, there is the opportunity to participate in referral hospital case management, supported by specialists in internal medicine and surgery. The ambulatory caseload is varied and diverse, but will largely fall under the umbrella of general practice. The position includes working with a large and supportive world class veterinary team with all levels of experience, including a number of specialists and a team of experienced veterinary technicians. The established client base will provide a new team member with the caseload to find their footing, while also presenting the opportunity to pursue and develop any personal veterinary interests. The position allows veterinarians to practice with a high degree of autonomy, while still offering the support and mentorship of a full-service practice. Emergency services are split between ambulatory and hospital cases and the practice participates in an on-call co-op with another local practice. Our compensation package includes: a minimum annual salary of $100,000, commensurate with experience, on-call emergency fees of 75-100% and other monthly “per instance” bonuses, signing and relocation incentives, health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a student loan repayment program, 401k with 3% employer contribution, profit sharing, Paid Time Off (annual, flex time opportunity, CE), Employee Assistance Program, Long Term Disability insurance, license and association membership fees, CE annual allowance with paid time off, AAA membership, mileage reimbursement or company vehicle; logo wear, and discounted veterinary products and services.
