Security Professional - Part Time Shift Lead

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) handles the day-to-day operations of Army installations.

Serve as a Shift Leader who is an assistant to the Guard Shift Supervisor.
Support the implementation of installation emergency plans and the patrolling of restricted and limited access areas.
Enter data into automated forms to provide visitor passes.

Conditions of employment This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.
This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. This position requires the incumbent must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually thereafter in the use of assigned firearms/weapons.
This position requires the Incumbent must undergo and pass annual medical exams of physical, emotional and mental stability. Standard for medical exams are prescribed in AR 190-56 "The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program".
This positions requires the incumbent must successfully complete security guard training.
This position may require incumbent to wear chemical protection masks, gloves, and other protective equipment, and may be required to be certified in the use of aerosol irritants and baton.
This position requires the incumbent must wear the Department of the Army Security Guard (DASG) uniform IAW AR 190-56, maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene.
This position requires employee must obtain and maintain applicable certifications in operating various electronic equipment and sensors.
This position requires chemical protective mask and over garments. Incumbent must not have any medical condition that precludes the wearing of a chemical protective mask and over garments.
Employee must be able to perform as a member of the installation's overall security response capability; duties and training require for the employee to carry and deploy a riot baton, carry a protective shield and employ non-lethal ammunitions.
Overtime may be required as directed and is subject to recall for periods of emergency overtime.
