Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires specialized nursing expertise to provide high-quality care for critically ill neonates.Shift InformationSchedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts per month, scheduled as needed based on unit demandsPosition ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk neonates in a level III NICU setting.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nursing staff.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC).Float to Mother-Baby unit as needed to care for infants.QualificationsMust have at least 2 years of experience as a permanent staff Registered Nurse.Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a level III teaching hospital setting.Must be flexible with scheduling, as additional shifts may be required based on unit needs.Special NotesThis is a 54-bed NICU that serves as a regional referral center for high-risk infants, primarily focusing on very low birth weight preterm infants requiring ventilatory support.State-of-the-art facility with advanced technology and resources.Guaranteed hours may be subject to low census call-offs, with healthcare providers potentially placed on-call in 4-hour increments.If you are a dedicated and experienced NICU nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable infants, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
