Litigation Paralegal – Insurance Defense Paralegal (Hybrid) New Jersey, NJ

Russo & Gould, LLP is a well-established and growing litigation practice seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have prior litigation and/or insurance defense experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. (90-day in office requirement to start and then 1 to 2 work from home days as determined).

Responsibilities :

Handling matters from inception to trial

Drafting and filing legal documents (pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affirmations, affidavits and the like)

Managing case files, coordinating discovery, scheduling depositions, and communicating with clients, outside counsel and court personnel

Supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process

Qualifications:

1-5 years of experience as a defense litigation Paralegal

Familiarity with New Jersey courts (NJ eCourts & Pacer) procedures and e-filing systems

Proficiency in managing discovery, trial preparation, and document production

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

Experience in personal injury and/or insurance defense litigation

Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or Bachelor’s degree

Russo & Gould offers competitive hourly compensation of $52k to $75k annually based on experience and a flexible hybrid work schedule offered after introductory period.
