Buyer - Purchasing - Full Time

We are seeking an entry-level Project Accounting and Procurement Technician to support accounting, procurement, and administrative activities for a municipal operations contract, using a municipal ERP system to manage purchase requisitions, expenditures, and financial records.

Pay: $24.52 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Create and submit purchase requisitions; verify account coding and budget availability

Track requisitions through purchase order issuance and payment

Reconcile goods/services against purchase orders and invoices

Maintain procurement, accounting, and financial records

Track expenditures and assist with budget management

Prepare financial and purchasing reports

Research and resolve purchase order/invoice discrepancies

Support audits, compliance reviews, and records management

Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, or related support functions

Experience with financial management or ERP systems

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Valid New Mexico Driver's License

Full-time, on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience with public-sector procurement or municipal financial operations

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with municipal ERP systems
