Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN - Norfolk Regional Center (Evergreen)

We are looking for skilled, caring, Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team. In this role you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical care and support to adult patients with mental illness at Norfolk Regional Center. NRC currently serves two distinct populations of adult males who are committed by a Mental Health Board for inpatient psychiatric treatment. The Nebraska Sex Offender (SO) Treatment Program improves public safety by reducing the risk of re-offense, while also improving the quality of patients' lives. In 2018, NRC opened the Medical Support Program and began providing high quality nursing and medical treatment for men with significant physical conditions and a variety of psychiatric, cognitive, and aging issues. The program provides activities designed to maintain optimal functioning while at the same time meeting the specific psychiatric care and safety needs of each patient.
Licensed Practical Nurses perform duties within scope of practice including:

Transcribe doctor's orders
Evaluate physical health and emotional status of patients
Complete order entry
Supply inventory and ordering; use of electronic medical record.
Will be a contributing member of the interdisciplinary treatment team delivering holistic and individualized care to patients
Additional $3/hour facility differential pay, plus additional shift differential pay.
Work Schedule: PRN/On-call position available, must work minimum of 16 hours per month.
Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska is required.
