• Reading basic telemetry strips
• Some experience with CVA and TIA
• Total joint replacement experience
• Ability to interpret strips and sign once per shift

Description:
This is a telemetry unit with 49 beds.
Patient ratios are 1:5.
Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI complications, diabetes, telemetry cases, post-cardiac catheterization, and total joint replacements.
RN's will not titrate drips but will manage Diltiazem/Cardizem drips at a set rate.
RN's are responsible for interpreting telemetry strips and will do so at least once per shift.
Charge Nurses and House Supervisors are available.
Nurse Aides are present on the unit with ratios up to 1:10-15.
Equipment in use includes BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments.
Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a self-scheduling system in place.
There is a weekend requirement of two weekends per four-week schedule.
Holidays during Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving require specific availability.
Floating to other areas may be required based on qualifications.
The dress code for the unit is navy blue.
Charting is done using the Cerner system.
