Full-Time or Part-Time Physician - Ob/Gyn (Physician )

$5,000 per month

At Wellness Pointe, everyone will receive an exceptional quality of care. The center has expanded into a multifaceted clinic that offers obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, family planning, and dentistry. Some of the other services offered by our well qualified staff include education, intervention, and management of the many social issues that impact our community. Medicaid, Medicare, and most private health insurance is accepted.
Maintains clinical expertise and competency (to include age specific competency) as well as demonstrates thorough knowledge of procedures to deliver quality primary health care.
Provides clinic sessions, as scheduled, in direct patient care at clinic site, including extended hours clinics.
Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician's panel, on an in-patient and out-patient basis (as per individual employment agreements); prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately. Provides continuity of care to center patients on his or her patient panel and other patients as assigned, including routine in-patient and nursing home care to center patients.
Maintains a problem oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center's established Health Information Management policies and procedures.
Participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed i.e. diabetes collaborative/health fairs etc.; attends and participates in clinic meetings / departmental meetings and other clinic functions as required by the Center.
Provides clinical oversight under the supervision of the CMO.
Participates in the analysis of community health problems and assists in the development of the community health care plan.
Participates in Compliance and Performance Improvement activities for continuous care quality improvement and risk management purposes.
Participates in the review and development of patient care policies, including health maintenance schedules and continuity of care.
Implements the plans, procedures and protocols for the medical team.
Serves as a resource and positive, proactive leader for the department.
Accepts responsibility for remaining current with medical and health care trends and information that impact the medical practice.
Leads the health care team in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing patient and family needs to develop a plan of care.
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas
Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
Hospital privileges at designated area hospitals if required for specialty
Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
Must be able to adhere to all client related policies and procedures including confidentiality
5,000.00 relocation assistance
Wellness Pointe offers health, dental, vision, and a $15,000.00 life insurance plan for all full-time employees.

  • Re-bank 160 hours at anniversary
  • Re-bank 48 hours at anniversary
  • Holidays (full time)
  • 10 paid holidays per year with only 1 requiring a waiting period (birthday)

Retirement plan
Employees may contribute at any given time with the clinic matching the first 3% and 50% thereafter for a maximum employer contribution of 4% with the employee being 100% vested with initial contribution.

Wellness Pointe qualifies as a NHSC approved site allowing licensed health care providers to participate in the loan repayment program.
