Clinical Trials Nurse - College of Medicine

Job Summary

The Division of Pediatric Research provides support to faculty members in the College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics who are leading research projects. The Clinical Research Nurse will be involved in research design, oversee ethical and participant safety issues, development and regulation of investigational drugs and devices, be responsible for clinical study operations, management of the study site, and all project related data and informatics.

Physical Requirements

Maintain confidentiality; ensure work is detailed, accurate and completed in a timely manner; lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 lbs; stand or walk with objects up to 25 lbs; and possible exposure to radiation, cuts/punctures, bloodborne/airborne pathogens, and/or challenging individuals.

Shift

M‑F, 8:30 a to 5:00 p, some weekends and evenings may be required in order to enroll study subjects.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) by time of hire

ADN + 5 years of nursing experience required, or BSN + 3 years. UK equivalencies apply. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Ability to use MS Office Programs, EPIC, OnCore, RedCap, Qualtrics, and other programs as needed

Physical strength: lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk with up to 25 lbs, and be prepared for exposure to hazardous materials and challenging individuals

Preferred Experience

Experience managing a clinical trial research project

Experience enrolling study participants

Experience handling high‑stress situations and staying calm under pressure

Interest in medical specialties relevant to pediatric research
