Aircraft electrician - night

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority in the DoD. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Help

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair advanced electrical and electronics systems and components on a variety of aircraft platforms, ensuring systems operate to full performance.
You will diagnose complex electrical issues, including system failures and malfunctions, and develop innovative solutions to restore aircraft systems to full operation status.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. You will be subject to random testing.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
You will be required to obtain and maintain required level(s) of certification, license and/or training.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Plan/layout/set up operations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
