Responsible for managing parking and transit, trademarks and licensing, and providing essential support for materials movement and event coordination. Delivers exceptional customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors, addressing and resolving issue.
Campus ambassadors greet, assist, and offer guidance to ASU customers as they move across campus. Employees in this role provide a reliable, highly visible, service and safety-oriented presence for staff, students, visitors and faculty.
20.00 per hour
Utilizes effective communication to convey help and conveys a sense of approachability. Ensures highest quality service delivered to customers for assigned function in accordance with specified guidelines and priorities. Applies knowledge of policies and processes to educate and inform users. Offers assistance to students, faculty, staff with questions, and direct them to helpful links. Be flexible during daily activities with the ability to change priorities which may include and/or subject to resolution conflict with customers. Help keep emergency access ways clear. Minor cleaning and equipment maintenance of WOZ signs and graphics. Daily use of a computer for attendance and timekeeping. Communicate verbally and in writing. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Unwavering commitment to customer service. Ability to work autonomously and to ask for help when needed. Skill in communicating professionally and courteously with customers at all levels. Ability to use electronic equipment. Ability to lead by example in communicating, participating and encouraging support of the institution’s sustainability programs.
This position is 100% outdoors. The majority of the shift will be standing and walking.
Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) plays an integral role in support of the development of Arizona State University by managing the parking and commuter options on the four campuses. PTS manages a 24,000+parking inventory system-wide and strongly encourages the use of more environmentally friendly transportation options by subsidizing programs such as intercampus shuttles, carpool, car-sharing, and public transit. These services assist ASU students, faculty, and staff in traveling to, around, and between campuses. PTS also provides ambassador and bike valet services to ensure a culture of safety for all pedestrians navigating the most populated campus areas. PTS employees work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding University department and enjoy the benefits.
