Senior Construction Underwriter (Insurance)

We embrace unique perspectives and empower each person to grow through professional development, career training and mentoring programs.Our people are our most important asset, and we are very proud of the quality of our team members.Underwriter will be responsible for growing a portfolio of general casualty business by exercising proper underwriting discipline, and by marketing and servicing both existing and potential retailers.Perform account analysis according to Allied World (US) General Casualty guidelinesDevelop account pricing/ structure/ make recommendationsPerform and document referralsPrepare quotes, binders, invoices, underwriting worksheets within company guidelinesMaintain files in an orderly manner consistent with company guidelinesDelegate and supervise work to Account Coordinators as neededAttend Client meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social outings as applicableAttend educational seminarsMarket to retailers within region and engage production meetingsWork with Legal department for manuscript wording analysis and preparationRequirements:Excellent Communication skills for both internal and external clientsAbility to work independently in a fast paced, high pressure environment5-7 years experience in General Casualty underwritingProficient in microsoft applications including word, outlook, and excelExcellent organizational skills, and ability to multi task requiredCPCU designation, or partial, preferredThe salary range for this role is between:$120,000 - $160,000The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment.
