RN Nursing Manager - Emergency

Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the RN Manager Med Surg has the direct-line responsibility for day-to-day operations and overall responsibility for the nursing department, ensuring that employees have effective management, good communication and appropriate discipline. The Nurse Manager ensures that the charge nurse fulfills their responsibilities as front-line supervisors. The Nurse Manager is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the coordination of patient care, administrative and nursing activities. The Nurse Manager is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the quality of nursing care provided to our patients. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License or Compact State RN License required
