Phlebotomist - Lab Phlebotomy

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lincolnwood, IL.

Work Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 9:00am–5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am–1:00pm.

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests and alcohol tests.

Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.

Process billing information and collect payments as needed.

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

Maintain patient and specimen information logs.

Provide superior customer service to all patients.

Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program.

3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Reliable transportation.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.50 per hour. All job offers are based on candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which pays quarterly bonuses based on performance metrics.
