Scale Attendant### Scale AttendantApply: USA, VA, Alexandria: Full time: Posted Today: JR14296Who we areFor more than 40 years, Reworld has been a leader in sustainable waste solutions, providing our customers with innovative solutions that help them achieve carbon-negative outcomes.Our VisionReworld is leading the charge to a carbon-negative future through revolutionary sustainable materials management solutions that reduce, reuse, recycle and reimagine waste for the benefit of society and the environment.Our BusinessReworld partners with businesses by offering cutting-edge engineering and innovative solutions, to help customers reduce, reuse, recycle and recover value from waste streams and meet or exceed their sustainability goals.Our ValueReworld's differentiator comes from our ecosystem of technology, facilities and partnerships, trusted by the world’s largest organizations to reimagine waste management for a smarter, more sustainable world.About the role** We seek a dedicated individual who will operate the scale house computer to accurately weigh trucks, monitor inbound/outbound truck activity, communicate with various departments and keep accurate records of all tickets and manifests. ## **Approach all encounters with employees, customers and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.· Assist the Operations Analyst with recordkeeping, filing and preparing standard reports.· Monitor inbound/outbound truck activity and acquire and monitor accurate truck weights.· Identify correct customer account by speaking with drivers and visual verification of to ensure accurate billing of customers.· Answer the telephone and provide information to the public regarding hours of operation, acceptable types of waste, and location· Calculate payments for customers.· Balance the daily receipts to ensure accurate record keeping and appropriate billing.· Ensure that incoming loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.· Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).· One to three years of experience with administrative, clerical and accounting activities, required.· Candidate must be highly organized, along with having knowledge of basic principles of bookkeeping and records management.· Must possess skills in working within deadlines to complete projects or assignments, along with operating a computer utilizing a variety of business software. Skills in Microsoft programs, specifically Excel are necessary.· Physical Demands:*** Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator* Consistently work in various weather conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. ## **Schedule:**This position is day shift, working potentially between the hours of 5:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and rotating shift of 5:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturday.
