We are presently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer that be responsible for managing and leading supplier qualifications and documentation.
Lead new supplier qualification and approval activities, including validation, First Article Inspection (FAI), and risk assessments.
Maintain supplier quality documentation, records, certifications, quality agreements, and approved supplier status within the QMS.
Monitor incoming inspection data, supplier quality performance, and defect trends to identify risks and drive improvement.
Own supplier scorecards and performance metrics, communicating trends and recommending appropriate monitoring, development, or qualification actions.
Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality, process capability, and overall supplier performance.
Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements and specifications in collaboration with Engineering and Operations.
Assess supplier risk and maintain supplier segmentation, critical supplier status, and ongoing monitoring activities
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related role within a regulated or ISO 9001 environment.
Working knowledge of supplier auditing, root cause analysis, CAPA, FAI, process validation, risk management, and quality management systems preferred.
ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent quality certification preferred.

Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
