CNA -NURSING CARE

Role Overview
Working under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, and under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides skilled, age-specific care. This role focuses on supporting patient-related tasks and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and perform routine clinical procedures.
Vital Signs: Measure, record, and monitor patient vital signs accurately.
Patient Observation: Monitor patients closely and immediately report any changes in condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician.
Proactive Communication: Serve as a key link by communicating patient needs effectively to the care team.
Clinical Documentation: Document all patient interactions, care provided, and observations accurately in the medical record.
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.
Qualifications
Education:
~ Prefer a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:
~ Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.

Specialized Training:
~ Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.

Certification/Licensure:
Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual is preferred.
Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
