Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Noblis MSD scientists, engineers, technical staff, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy secure shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms and shipboard systems, and develop computing and networking strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering expertise to the development, integration, updates and repairs to the electrical components of a fast-paced Navy environment. Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components for Navy systems.

Perform circuit design, modeling, and simulation to ensure system performance and reliability.

Create and review electrical schematics, writing diagrams, and technical documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, system engineers, and program managers.

Support prototype development or production unit builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Contribute to design reviews, technical presentations, and project status updates.

Candidate must possess, well-developed work habits, and an eagerness and enthusiasm for solving electrical engineering challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers who will provide guidance, mentorship and hands-on training. The candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of electrical and electronic systems, including defensive systems, automated test equipment (ATE), uninterrupted power supplies, power regulators, and analog/digital systems. They will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements and delivery deadlines are met. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) OR Associate's Degree + 3 years of relevant experience OR High School + 6 years of relevant experience.

Ability to interact directly with customers to extract requirements, generate a plan and report status.

Familiarity with System Engineering concepts.

Familiarity in designing and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Must have a Secret clearance OR the ability to obtain one.

Must be a US Citizen.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.

Understanding of engineering design, analysis, and testing in addition to the above requirement

Understanding of design documentation or technical data package quality drawings for electronic systems

Knowledge with uninterruptible power supplies and its functions

Knowledge with writing Engineering reports, work instructions, test plans, etc.

Experience using digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, and power quality analyzer tools

Familiarity with power cable harnesses, connectors, and wiring

Familiarity with troubleshooting of failed electronic components and root cause analysis

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
