Math Instructor (Immediate Hire)
$26 per hourSimpson University
Brief Description Simpson University's Science & Mathematics Department is seeking adjunct instructors for the upcoming academic year. Currently, the department welcomes applications for instructors with the qualifications to teach courses in Mathematics. Please note that an appointment in one semester is not a guarantee of an appointment in a subsequent semester. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in Algebra, Precalculus, or Statistics, deliver courses in person at the Redding campus, and utilize Canvas for course management and delivery of content. The candidate must work with a diverse student body population, express an effusive Christian faith based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and affirm the statement of faith of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Responsibilities Offer courses in Algebra, Precalculus, or Statistics.
Deliver courses in person at the Redding campus.
Utilize Canvas for course management and delivery content.
Work with a diverse student body population.
Express an effusive Christian faith based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Affirm the statement of faith of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
General Expectations Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus, a vibrant Christian faith, and a commitment to Christian community; capable of sharing faith and engaging in conversations about Christ.

Maintain the confidentiality of information, data and records; properly use tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills in the performance of job duties.
Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills in the performance of job duties.
Supervise employees in accordance with Simpson University policies and procedures (for supervisory positions).
Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications M.A. in Mathematics or related field.
Compensation $26 hourly.
