Talascend is currently seeking a Controls Engineer for an opportunity in Warren, Michigan.

Overview

Ensure alignment to a controls engineer role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing automation and control systems within the automotive manufacturing environment. The role involves working on diverse automation projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to launch new programs, and supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize automation and control systems for automotive manufacturing.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support new program launches and integrate advanced technologies.

Utilize PLC/HMI programming, robotics, and industrial automation to improve system reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Work on diverse automation projects, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging systems.

Travel to plant sites and suppliers as needed for equipment buy‑offs.

Contribute to improving safety, reliability, and production efficiency on the factory floor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in electrical engineering.

Minimum of 3 years of experience required.

Experience with HMI and PLC programming projects.

Automotive background and in‑plant experience are a plus.

Strong teamwork, technical programming skills, and proactive initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotics integration.

Knowledge of industrial automation standards and practices.
