Rehab Therapy - Occupational Therapist
Hilo Medical Center
This role involves providing rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). Conduct evaluations, reassessments, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising therapist, physician, and interdisciplinary team.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize function, independence, communication, mobility, swallowing, and overall quality of life.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
Supervise therapy assistants as applicable to the role.
Be available to work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays, as necessary based on facility operations.
A minimum of two years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) setting is preferred.
There may be a need to float to other units or facilities based on census and staffing needs.
Training and Orientation
Orientation to the rehabilitation department, EMR documentation (Net Health Rehab Optima Epic), and facility workflows will be provided.
Candidates must be available to arrive by the Thursday before their start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
