Bronson Family Medicine Helmer in Battle Creek, MI is currently seeking a board certified/eligible Family Medicine Physician to join their established family medicine practice.

Position Highlights

Candidate will work alongside four physicians and two APPs.

See full spectrum family practice patients.

No OB or inpatient medicine opportunity.

Hospital‑employed, outpatient only position.

Minimal call required.

Team approach with Ambulatory Care Manager, social worker, pharmacist, and nurse triage.

Qualifications

BC/BE in Family Medicine.

Graduate from an ACGME accredited program.

Current and unrestricted state medical license as MD/DO and DEA licensure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient‑centered care.

Medical degree and at least two years of direct or internship experience.

Current medical license in Michigan.

Current DEA and DPS certificate of registration.

Must maintain all medical staff privileges.

Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.

Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills with proper telephone etiquette.

Professional demeanor and patient‑focused care.

Responsibilities

Physicians are responsible for diagnosing illnesses and prescribing and administering treatment.

Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

Provide preventive healthcare counseling regarding hygiene and diet.

Perform in a tactful and professional manner.

Determine referrals and level of urgency for follow‑up, consultation appointments.

Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.

Order studies, tests, and ancillary services.

Document all services in patient medical record.

Review long‑term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.

Consult with Medical Director and other staff regarding patient care, assessment, and education.

Participate in process improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient‑care programs.

Oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.

Assist in resolving patient complaints, requests, and inquiries.

Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines.

Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service in a manner reflecting mission, values, and standards.

Physical/Operational Requirements

Actively engage in tasks requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods.

Operate personal computer or CRT for 40–70% of the time.

Stand or walk regularly; lift light‑weight objects (≤20 pounds) and assist in heavier patient movements.

Assume minor straining or fatigue positions; perform required exertion.
