The Canopy by Hilton, a stylish modern boutique hotel located in the lively heart of Downtown Grand Rapids, is on the lookout for a part-time Valet Attendant to join their team! In this position, you will warmly greet guests, responsibly park and retrieve vehicles, and maintain a smooth and organized parking experience. The Valet Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling, parking, and retrieval of hotel guest vehicles.

Provide guest assistance and information, such as giving directions, assisting with luggage, informing guests of hotel amenities, etc.

Follow all hotel safety protocols to protect guests, staff, and vehicles

Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized

Monitor any valet parking department equipment and inform a manager or supervisor of any repairs needed.

Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures and how to respond accordingly

Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the Valet Supervisor or Manager

Flexibility with schedule depending on needs of the hotel

Customer-focused with strong time management and problem-solving skills

Must possess valid driver's license with clean driving record

Knowledge of Michigan driving laws and vehicle usage (manual and automatic transmissions)

Valet experience preferred but not required

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license and safe driving record satisfactory criminal background screening required
