Senior Land & Aviation Surveyor

For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. Now we need to add a Senior Surveyor to help us keep building.

Working with our Geospatial team , you will lead impactful surveying and geospatial projects for TxDOT, aviation clients, municipalities, and construction initiatives across Texas while helping expand Fishbeck’s presence in the state.

Lead and oversee field survey and geospatial data collection operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Plan and coordinate projects, including crew scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.

Interpret legal descriptions, plats, and engineering plans to support boundary, right-of-way, and infrastructure projects.

Perform and oversee complex survey computations and data processing for boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.

Integrate and manage data from UAS, terrestrial LiDAR, and mobile mapping platforms.

Review and validate deliverables to ensure compliance with TxDOT, FAA, and municipal standards.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to define project scope, workflows, and strategies.

Support project budgeting, estimating, and proposal development.

Strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to help grow Fishbeck’s Texas presence.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in surveying and/or geospatial services.

Strong background in boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.

Experience with robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer.

Proven ability to lead crews, manage workflows, and deliver projects.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness necessary to perform surveying responsibilities.
