Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week.
The role involves caring for observation patients and those with respiratory conditions or general medical-surgical diagnoses.
The patient population primarily consists of adults and geriatrics with diverse medical needs including palliative care and psychiatric observation.
Responsibilities include managing various patient conditions such as diabetes, surgical patients, and end-of-life care.
Travelers are expected to float to different units if necessary.
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential.
The nurse must pass an EKG exam during onboarding, which is a requirement for this role.
BLS certification is mandatory, and familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, and telemetry is essential.
Candidates should be adaptable, as the facility has strict policies regarding punctuality and attendance.
Compliance with all policies and completion of necessary documentation prior to the start date is required.
Candidates should be ready for a fast-paced work environment and possess strong communication skills.
The use of electronic health records is integral to this position.
