Paramedic - Emergency Department - Full Time

Job Title Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs, follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, and collaborate with Center Physician for standing orders and donor transport to emergency care.
Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when encountering unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, referring to EHS guidance.
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
Complete FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.
Compensation and Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $25.60 - $35.20.
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. Actual wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Wages will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
