Travel Radiation Therapist Oncology

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and active NJ license (if applicable) for a hospital Radiation Oncology department performing advanced IGRT and SBRT treatments.
Requirements

Successful completion of an approved Radiation Therapy course
ARRT certified and registered
Active NJ license required if applicable
Experience with IGRT, SBRT, and portal imaging
Experience with CT simulation, immobilization device construction, and respiratory gating
Ability to operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery
Knowledge of ALARA principles and radiation safety standards
Responsibilities

• Hospital Radiation Oncology department covering two campuses
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• Floating as needed to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Uses MOSAIQ for treatment management and record verification
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Delivers planned radiation therapy treatments while operating treatment units with minimal supervision
• Performs daily linac and CT QA as well as monthly CT QA
• Performs CT simulations following department protocols including electron and cerrobend block construction
• May serve as Lead CT Therapist responsible for training other therapists in CT simulation procedures
• Attends weekly chart rounds and maintains treatment records and prescriptions
• Follows department dress code and safety standards including proper body mechanics
• Accepts local candidates at a different rate
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, with a required break before returning
