Direct Support Professional - Paid Daily

Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSP)Morrison Center is seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSP), to be based in Scarborough, Gray and Wells, Maine. Morrison Center is hiring an additional Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSP), Monday - Friday. The DSP must be willing to transport clients out into the community, provide personal care, complete daily documentation, and have a good understanding of what community supports is. DSP staffer to support the clients in maintaining, obtaining, and managing their goals.Pay: $21/hour. Earned Paid Leave.Requirements of the Direct Support Professional:HS Diploma or GED RequiredDSP Certification preferred but will train the right candidateCPR/First Aid CertificationSafety training such as Mandt, Safety Care, etc.Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesValid Maine Driver's license required and a clean driving recordExperienced with transfers in and out of wheelchair, using a lift, and is comfortable working in someone's private home with the Shared Living DSP who resides there as well.Responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional:Willing to transport clients out into the communityProvide personal care, showers, toileting, dressing etc.Supporting clients to help them reach and maintain plan of care goals and activities.Have a good understanding of what community supports isGives hands on and eyes on care and support for clientsMorrison Center is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive, individualized support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.Morrison Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
