Night Shift - Emergency Department (ER) RN

Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Schedule: Nights

Assignment Details: Less than 1 year experience required.

Requirements

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license in the state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).

Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).

Current STABLE certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).

Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

Two years hospital nursing experience (preferred).

One year Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.

Utilize critical thinking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Comply with treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and support needs.

Evaluate learning needs and provide education to patients and families.

Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and may mentor student nurses and new hires.
