Rover Utility Cleaner

The Rover Utility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout assigned facilities by moving ("roving") between designated areas as needed. This role supports day-to-day operations by responding to cleaning needs, special requests, and high-traffic areas, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

Perform routine and non-routine cleaning tasks across multiple areas or buildings

Empty trash, recycle materials, and replace liners

Perform basic floor care tasks, including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various floor types

Assist with deep floor cleaning projects as assigned (scrubbing, stripping, waxing preferred)

Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or urgent cleaning requests

Disinfect high-touch surfaces following safety and sanitation guidelines

Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and properly

Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and cleaning protocols

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior janitorial or custodial experience required

Working knowledge of floor care procedures, including buffing and polishing

Experience using floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, auto-scrubbers) is a plus

Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment

Ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks throughout shift

Commercial or institutional facilities

Fast-paced and changing cleaning needs

Exposure to cleaning chemicals (PPE provided)

Flexible schedule, may include evenings, weekends, or holidays
